Privacy Policy

This policy explains what information Lanto collects, how it is used, and who it is shared with. Lanto is run by The Local Marketer ("we," "us") and is available at app.getlanto.com. We have tried to keep this in plain language. If something here is unclear, contact us.
What we collect
- Your email address, used to send your login link and to identify your account.
- Your business details: business name, type of business, town, and your answers about your Google Business Profile, website, and review count.
- Your marketing work: your ideal customer profile and pitch, your chosen main social channel, tasks you complete, points, achievements, and any advertising options you save or rate.
- Your plan and usage: your plan, when a trial or access period ends, and how many AI drafts and ad searches you have used.
- Reminder preferences, and an alternate email address if you choose one.
- Messages you send us, through the Contact page: your name, email address, and message, and for chamber of commerce requests the chamber name and approximate number of members.
- Your weekly check-in numbers, such as reviews, profile views, and calls, if you choose to enter them. You can leave any of them blank.
- Anything you type into the app, such as a customer question or review you paste in so the AI can help you reply.
The app does not use advertising trackers or sell advertising. Your browser stores a login session and a few small preferences (for example, whether you have seen a message) so the app works. Our hosting provider also keeps standard technical logs, such as IP addresses and page requests, to run and protect the service.
How we use it
- To run the app: show your tasks, save your progress, and keep your account secure.
- To email you a login link, and to send monthly reminders if you opt in.
- To produce AI drafts and local advertising options when you ask for them (see below).
- To manage plans, trials, and billing.
- To fix problems, prevent misuse, and improve the app.
AI features and your information
When you click an AI button, we send information to Anthropic, the company that provides the AI, so it can write a response. That includes your business name, type, and town; your ideal customer profile and pitch; your chosen channel; the text of the task; and anything you type into the box. For the local ad finder, Anthropic also runs web searches that include your town and type of business. Please do not paste private information about your customers into the app, such as full names with contact details, payment details, or health information.
AI can be wrong. You should read and edit anything it writes before you use it. Anthropic's handling of information is described in its own privacy policy.
Who we share information with
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for advertising. We share it only with the service providers that help us run the app:

We may also disclose information if the law requires it, or to protect the safety and rights of our users or the service.
Monthly reminder emails
Reminders are optional. They are sent only if you sign up for them in the app. Every email has an unsubscribe link, and you can also turn reminders off in the app at any time.
How long we keep it, and deleting your information
We keep your information while your account is active. You can ask us to delete your account and the information connected to it, including your profile, progress, AI history, and saved advertising options, through our contact page. We will process the request promptly. Copies in backups may remain for a short time before they are overwritten. We may keep limited records where the law requires it, such as payment records.
Your choices
You can edit most of your information inside the app, turn off reminder emails, and ask us for a copy of your information or its correction or deletion. Depending on where you live, you may have additional privacy rights, and we will respect them. Contact us to use them.
Security
We use reasonable measures to protect your information, including separating each person's data so only you can see your own. No system is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
Who the app is for
The app is for business owners and their authorized staff. It is not intended for children under 18, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.
Where information is processed
Our providers may store and process information in the United States and other countries where they operate.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the app changes. We will change the date at the top, and for significant changes we will tell you in the app or by email.
