Terms of Service
Last updated October 5, 2026
These terms govern your use of Lanto at app.getlanto.com (the "app"), run by The Local Marketer ("we," "us"). By creating an account or using the app, you agree to them and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
1. The app, and its beta status
The app gives local business owners a guided list of marketing tasks, tools to plan their audience and pitch, and optional AI-assisted drafts and local advertising research. The app is in beta. Features, limits, and prices may change, and the service may be unavailable at times. We may add, change, or remove features.
2. Who can use it
You must be at least 18 and be the owner of a business, or an employee or contractor authorized to act for it. You agree to give accurate information about yourself and your business.
3. Your account
You sign in with a link sent to your email address. You are responsible for keeping your email account secure and for what happens under your account. Do not share your account with others, and tell us if you think it has been misused.
4. Plans, trials, and payments
- The Free plan is free. Premium is a paid plan, and its features, including AI drafts, local ad searches, and alerts, may have usage limits that we can change.
- We may offer free trials or free access for a limited time. When that time ends, your account returns to the Free plan and your progress is kept, unless you choose a paid plan.
- Paid plans renew automatically each billing period until you cancel. We will show the price and billing details before you pay. You can cancel at any time, and your access continues until the end of the period you have paid for. Payments are processed by our payment provider. Unless the law requires otherwise, fees already paid are not refundable.
- We may change prices with notice before your next renewal.
5. AI-generated content
Drafts, graphics, and suggestions created with AI may be inaccurate, incomplete, or unsuitable for your situation. They are a starting point. You are responsible for reviewing and editing anything before you use or publish it, and for following the rules of the platforms where you post and any laws that apply to advertising and reviews. We do not guarantee any particular result, such as more customers, higher rankings, or more reviews.
6. Local advertising options and third-party links
The local advertising finder and the platform and help links in the app point to businesses, organizations, and websites that we do not own or control. We show them for information and do not endorse them. Prices, availability, and contact details change, and some results may be out of date or wrong. Always verify details with the source before you pay or commit. We are not a party to any agreement between you and a third party, and we are not responsible for what they provide.
7. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- break the law or use the app to deceive or harm others;
- use the app to create spam, fake reviews, or misleading claims;
- try to get around usage limits or plan restrictions, or use automated tools or scripts to access the app;
- probe, disrupt, or attempt to break into the app or other users' data;
- enter sensitive personal information about your customers, such as payment or health details; or
- copy, resell, or redistribute the app, its tasks, or its templates outside your own business.
8. Your content
You keep ownership of the information and content you put into the app. You give us permission to store, process, and display it, and to send it to our service providers, as needed to run the app for you, as described in our Privacy Policy. If you send us feedback, we may use it to improve the app without owing you anything.
9. Our content
The app, including its design, task library, templates, and text, belongs to us or our licensors. You may use them for your own business while you have an account, but you may not resell or republish them.
10. Ending your use
You can stop using the app at any time, and you can ask us to delete your account through our contact page. We may suspend or end access if you break these terms or misuse the app, or if we discontinue the service.
11. No warranty
The app is provided "as is" and "as available." To the fullest extent the law allows, we do not make promises that the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or suitable for your needs, and we disclaim all implied warranties.
12. Limit of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for lost profits or lost business, arising from your use of the app. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or $100 if you have not paid us anything. Some places do not allow these limits, so they may not apply to you.
13. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be handled in the state or federal courts located in Massachusetts, and you agree to their jurisdiction.
14. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. We will change the date at the top, and for significant changes we will tell you in the app or by email. If you keep using the app after a change, you accept the updated terms.
